Bourse de Montréal

Lieu: Montréal

Throwback parisien

ADULT PLAY: Business meet fun.

Back to the Backstage Pass
4 December 2025

The best corporate events don’t just look professional — they feel human.

Here’s the truth: grown-ups need to play, too. And no, we’re not talking about karaoke after three glasses of wine (though, hey, we’re not judging, and we’re good at that!).

We’re talking about intentional, well-designed, adult play: integrated into your event strategy to spark energy, connection, and even better business outcomes.

Why “play” works (even in serious industries)

Play isn’t childish. It’s how adults decompress, connect, and reset. In high-pressure business environments, structured play:

  • Boosts collaboration and creativity
  • Breaks down silos between departments
  • Increases engagement and participation
  • Sparks emotional memory (the kind that sticks way past the closing keynote)

And in case you’re wondering , yes, it delivers ROI and ROE (return on emotion). Because play creates connection. Connections create relationships. And relationships drives business.

What does adult play look like?

It’s not about putting a bouncy castle in the middle of your plenary (unless that’s your thing).  It’s about curating experience zones that offer fun, low-pressure ways to interact.

Some ideas we love:

  • Scavenger hunts with clues that make people explore the venue and your brand
  • Escape room-style challenges that reinforce teamwork and problem-solving
  • Cooking competitions or mixology labs to engage all the senses
  • Trivia battles where departments go head-to-head in a high-energy showdown
  • Maker stations (build a brand-themed object, personalize swag, etc.)
  • Creative corners with collaborative murals or art walls

You can even theme your zones based on moods: Relax, Compete, Create, Connect.

But… what will the CEO think?

Spoiler alert: They’ll love it.

Because when play is tied to your business objectives — team alignment, engagement, brand love — it’s not fluff. It’s fuel.

The smartest companies are already leaning into this trend. Not because it looks good on Instagram, but because it delivers real internal impact.

So the question isn’t “Should we add fun to our event?” It’s “Why haven’t we done it already?”

At Sénik, we LOVE to play.

We design playful moments that move people, spark conversations, and generate real results.

Got an event coming up and want to shake things up? Call us. We’ve got ideas — the kind that hit both the heart and the business case.
